My story

Name: Marigold Breed: Lab Mix Sex: Spayed Female Age: 2 years Weight: 48 lbs Animal Number: 4213 Energetic, Playful, Cuddly Lovebug Good with dogs? She is very playful and does well with other playful, medium to large or or patient, tolerant dogs. She gets very excited to meet new friends while walking on leash and is learning leash manners. Good with cats? Marigold is interested in and may chase small animals like cats, bunnies, squirrels and birds. Good with kids? Not Tested Energy level: Medium to High. She and her energetic doggie friend will run around for hours on end in the yard, playing hide and seek, stealing toys from each other, chewing on sticks and chasing squirrels. She will do well in a home with a yard. Behavioral needs: Marigold absolutely loves the comfort of gentle people and becomes extremely anxious if she is left alone. If needed, she takes calming medicine in a little peanut butter. She is afraid of being confined, and is working on very gradual desensitization to a crate while enjoying high value treats. Animal Characteristics: Marigold is an energetic, playful, sweet lovebug. She loves all dogs and humans and loves to cuddle. She is very smart, food motivated and trainable. She is fully potty trained and knows “come,” “sit,” and is learning “down.” She gets so happy and excited when meeting new people that she jumps on them and is working on her calm manners. She likes riding in a car and rarely barks, only when she sees new dogs while out walking. Beautiful Marigold will need a gentle, patient adopter who is home often to provide her with close, loving companionship and continued training.
