It’s clear this sweet boy was neglected in his past life, as he’s a little shy and slow to trust, but once he realizes he’s safe his heart just melts for affection.   His absolute favorite thing in the world is chin scratches — he’ll lean in close and soak them up like he’s been waiting his whole life for them. At night, Bennie is the perfect gentleman, curling up and sleeping in his crate like an angel. He’s working on potty training — he goes outside like a champ, though he had a couple of oopsies yesterday (not bad for a little guy in a brand-new place!).   He has his neuter scheduled for Monday and will be available for adoption shortly after. This little survivor is ready to leave his past behind and step into the forever home he deserves.
