My story

Meet Bruno, a handsome five year old one-blue-eyed Boston Terrier! This loving boy is dog-friendly and loves people who have hands and can pet him...constantly. He is a very peculiar little guy -- won’t eat his food without his probiotic in it, lays underneath the pillows on the couch and the bed, and loves to knead blankets. It is important to know about Bruno does NOT like to be picked up. He has a harness with his name on it that has a handle at the top -- if you have to pick him up for the vet or a bath, he does well being carried like that. We think he was mishandled when he was young, and it’s absolutely baffling how someone could hurt this precious boy. Bruno is making HUGE strides, though! He loves to be right next to you (especially if you’re eating) and does great in his kennel (once you convince him to go in!). He has learned “sit,” “down,” and “wait” while living with his foster mom. He is such a quick learner and super food motivated. He’s working on “drop it” and loves to play fetch with his toy! Be warned - he is a stuffed toy destroyer; loves the snow effect! He does great in an apartment and on a leash, and is great with meeting new people and dogs. He’s not a barker - more of a whiner (especially when he wants to go sit on the patio!). Bruno begs to sit on the patio, so someone who has a balcony, patio, or yard -- somewhere outside for Bruno to lay and sunbathe -- would be best. He would be at home with a family that loves him and respects his boundaries. He loves to cuddle, but it may take some time for him to warm up to you. He is just the sweetest boy and deserves a family that will give him anything and everything. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update.
