Houston SCAS

My story

If ever a dog deserved a second chance, it is this one. Houston was found on the grounds of a church way out in the mountains by a good Samaritan. He was suffering from starvation and neglect so we believe he had been on his own for quite a while. The girl who found Houston called the local animal control who took him to a vet clinic on 8/20 where he waits for his trip to EHR. Houston is doing well, has a great temperament with people and is fine with other dogs. He seems to like (and respect) our office cat, so we feel he will be good with cats as well. The first photo is a current picture of Houston as of 9/5. We've also included 2 of Houston's "before" photos to show how he looked when he arrived at the vet clinic. He's received vetting for his issues and his hair is growing back nicely. Houston has been at the animal clinic this entire time getting fully tested and vetted, including receiving all his vaccines, and recovering. He has also been neutered and is negative for heartworm. It seems that most of his problem came from starvation and neglect, and there are no other issues with him. This beautiful boy is only TWO years old and sweet as can be. He has won over the hearts of the vet clinic staff and they are so happy that EHR is giving him a second, better life. They tell us that Houston is a good boy and he will make someone a very good family pet!
