How this pet arrived: Black Bear was brought in by a community member on August 15, 2025.Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Black Bear! This gentle soul is a shy and fearful kitty who will need a patient adopter willing to provide him with a safe, quiet space to adjust at his own pace. Black Bear is blind and has no teeth, so he will do best in a calm home where his environment stays consistent. He is also living with kidney failure, and his future family should be prepared to monitor his lab work and keep an eye on any changes in his health with the help of their veterinarian. Additionally, Black Bear has an abnormal iris coloration that may be a benign change or possibly something more serious, so regular monitoring and follow-up with your vet are recommended. Black Bear may have special needs, but with love, patience, and gentle care, he has the chance to feel safe and comfortable in a home of his own.
