ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Rice Age: 10 months old Gender: Female Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Jindo mix Colour: Black Weight: 10kg / 22 lbs Microchipped: Yes   MY RESCUE STORY Hi there! I’m Rice. I was lucky to be rescued from the euthanasia list at a city pound, and now I’m ready to find my forever family—a home where I can feel safe, loved, and cherished for the rest of my life.   MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete)  I’ve been neutered and have no known health issues.   MY PERSONALITY Hi! My name is Rice—don’t you think it’s the cutest? My shiny black fur is just like black rice, and I have adorable little white paws, floppy ears, and a heart-melting smile. Photos and videos don’t even capture how handsome I really am! Even though I’m still a pup, I’m surprisingly calm and independent. I love being around people and will gently come up to you for a calm, sweet greeting.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I’m a little shy at first, but don’t let that fool you—I truly crave human companionship and enjoy gentle greetings and affection. I’ll approach you slowly, and with just a few tasty treats, I’ll warm up quickly. Once I feel comfortable, I love being petted and cuddled. I haven’t had much experience with kids yet, but I’m confident I’ll do well with dog-savvy children. When I feel safe, I’ll even roll over to show my belly, and you can pick me up for some extra snuggles.   With Dogs:  I’m a total social butterfly when it comes to my dog friends! I love meeting new pups and playing with them, and I usually get along best with dogs my size or bigger. I feel more secure and confident when I have canine companions around, so I would thrive in a home with another dog sibling to share love, playtime, and snuggles with.    With Cats:  I haven’t met any cats yet, so my reaction is unknown.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I have a moderate to high energy level, so I love spending time outdoors exploring and playing. Once I’ve had the chance to burn off some energy, I can settle down and relax happily indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I can pull at times but I follow my handler’s lead nicely overall. I need more guidance with leash walking as I can get scared easily. When I get scared, I will lie flat on the ground or try to run away. It’s essential to keep me double leashed with a collar and harness when outside at all times for my safety. I don’t guard my food against people or dogs. I can bark when I want something from you. I can bark at strangers in the beginning and I know how to rest calmly in my kennel. I prefer outdoor potty.    MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. A family that can shower me with love and attention. A family that understands I’m still a young pup with so much to learn, so I’ll need a loving family who understands that I’m a work in progress. With patience, gentle guidance, and positive reinforcement, I know I’ll blossom into a well-mannered and confident companion. I’m eager to learn and just need the right family to help guide me as I navigate the big world.   SPECIAL NOTES I tend to bond more quickly with women and can be a bit shy around men at first. I’m the perfect mix of independence and loyalty—once I connect with you, I’ll become your devoted shadow.
