My story

Introducing…The Marvelous Miss Mabel! Also affectionately known as Mabel the Marvel! Mabel (Born 2/24/2023) is a 26-pound French Bulldog. Sadly, her owner passed away unexpectedly, but she is adjusting and responding to the love and attention she is receiving. Mabel loves to walk, she enjoys meeting people and playing with her toys. She never tires of compliments when you notice that one of her eyes is emerald green and the other a gorgeous sky blue. Mabel is working on the housebreaking and would benefit from a house with a yard. We really appreciate that you want to give a shelter animal a home. The Humane Society of New York was founded in 1904. The Vladimir Horowitz/Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center is a no-kill shelter. Our on-site clinic and staff of skilled Veterinarians looks after the health and well-being of every animal here. We also have a great adoption matchmaking team who will gladly take your profile and match you or your pet with just the right cat or dog companion.
