My story

Hi, I’m Keiko! I’m an 8-month-old Male Shepherd mix, full of energy and love! I’m just a large puppy who is still learning his manners, but my heart is as big as my paws. I’ll grow up to be tall and strong, but don’t worry I’m still very friendly, and ready to shower my new family with affection (just be prepared for a few enthusiastic jumps and wiggles along the way!). I haven’t had much training yet, but I’m eager to please and would thrive with an experienced owner who can provide me with the guidance, patience, and consistency I need to grow into the well-behaved dog everyone knows I can be. I’m also a playful companion but my enthusiasm can sometimes be a bit much for younger children and I may do best sharing a home with older children or adults to help me with my manners. I previously lived in a home where my needs couldn’t be met with is why I would thrive in an active home. A fenced yard would be a bonus for playtime and exercise but I was previously an outdoor dog and am ready for a chance in scenery. While I love basking in the sun, I crave a cozy indoor bed as we head into the colder months. I’m crate trained and house-trained which is always a plus! When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.
