My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. When you adopt 1 you save 2. The one you adopt and the one you make room for! CITY, STATE:  Murfreesboro, TN NAME: Buster AGE:  10  DOB 08/09/15 SEX: Male WEIGHT: 16.3 lbs COLOR:  Black and Tan COAT: Smooth UP TO DATE:  yes SPAYED/NEUTERED: yes DHPP:  yes               DATE: 08/11/25 RABIES: yes            DATE: 08/11/25 TAG NUMBER:  161843 ADOPTION FEE: 300.00+25.00(chip fee) HOUSETRAINED: yes CRATE TRAINED: yes LEASH TRAINED: yes FENCED YARD NEEDED: yes SPECIAL NEEDS: no HOME W/ SMALL CHILDREN: no only over the age of 12 yrs HOME W/ OTHER DOGS:           MALE:  yes        FEMALE: yes HOME W/ CATS: no MICROCHIP BRAND and #:  911PetChip  911002001408106 MONTHLY HEARTWORM DATE: 1st each month FOSTER HOME: Erich  allamericandachshundrescue@gmail.com   RESCUE #:  2016-08-11-01 BIO:  Buster came back to us after 9 yrs adopted due to not liking the grandchildren visiting the home and the fact that he ran the house. He is leery of strangers due to lack of socialization. With that being said, he’s a great dog and loves being with people and is fine with other dogs. You must be the alpha and let him know that he cannot run the show. If you let him know that then he is a wonderful dog, happy and housebroken. He would do better with someone that is looking for a frosty face and is home most of the time. When you are home he will follow you from room to room but if you have to leave then he will bark. Are you willing to give him a chance at getting the last home of his life? Do not let his one behavior scare you off, it can be corrected but you have to be the alpha. Our must haves for him are: A fenced in yard Someone home more than not or retired Another small adult to senior for him to hang with No apartments, high rises, or condos If you want to give him his forever home please apply.     ============== Information for All Dogs/Adopters ============== AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund’s back or get bitten. If you have questions about this dog, please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed on the bio form.  They have the most up-to-date information concerning the dog and would be happy to answer any questions about the animal.  There will be an additional $60 fee added for a required Health Certificate if traveling out of the state in which they are being fostered.  We will not adopt into CT, RI, NH, ME, or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states.  If you have any issue with this, you will need to take this up with your legislatures. To understand the adoption process through AADR, please review the Adoption Information on our home page.  Transportation options are outlined on that page in Step 3. Click this link to apply: https://www.allamericandachshundrescue.org/apply, it will take you to the application form. Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend.  We have volunteers who will help your 'new friend' get up and down the East Coast or Midwest.  We just can't get them from one coast to the other.  Please look for dogs on your coast.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime.
