Lyla

My story

Currently fostered in Texas Lyla is approximately 2 1/2 years old and 11 pounds. She was adopted from a high kill shelter in Pasadena Texas, but owner surrendered only five months after that. Lyla is a good dog, she walks on leash, has good potty manners, and is very good with people, other dogs and children. She had a bit of anxiety, her first day here, but then settled in very well. She may digress again in a new situation for a day or two, barking and panting, but she honestly acclimates extremely quickly and settles into a new routine. She LOVES attention. Lyla is good with other adult dogs but she has a prey drive and is not good with very small (especially fluffy) puppies, cats/kittens, or any small animals that are kinda squirly. She needs to be in a home with other adult dogs 7 plus pounds or as an only dog. Lula is here with several other dogs and gets along great with them. She is NOT dog aggressive, we just ask no tiny young hyper puppies. Lyla is very well mannered otherwise. She does have mild luxating patella in her rear left limb. She is super great at meeting new people and she walks so nicely on a leash and is very well mannered. She just needs a little routine and stability in her life, people to love her, some basic training would be great as Lyla is actually really smart and I think would do well having some basic training and tasks.
