My story

A volunteer writes:Elektra is a shy and gentle young gal who was found with her kitty friend under an FDR overpass...She wears a lovely dress and owns the cutest little face. A sweet tiger... When meeting with Elektra, do not expect her running to her door. She is a timid girl who appreciates soft words and slow moves. Elektra will then lean slowly into pets and even purr(see her video). I think she could fall asleep with her head in my hand...She is trusting but the premises are making her wary...A home sweet home and an understanding owner is really what Elektra needs. Ask to meet Elektra when you visit us at the care center. She could be the sweetheart you have been looking for all along. She is already spayed and could go home today.What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!I am a cat that is in need of a lap! I can't wait to be your new lap cat.I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.
