My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog C:5Meet Matisse, the lovable 3-year-old, 98-pound pittie mix who’s as big in personality as he is in size! Matisse is a goofy and friendly guy with a lot of energy and a heart of gold. He’s still learning some basic skills, especially when it comes to loose leash walking, but he’s treat-motivated and ready to work with the right adopter who can guide him. Matisse may be a chonky meatball, but he’s got a joyful, happy-go-lucky spirit that’ll brighten your day. He knows “sit” and is always ready for some fun. With other dogs, this big fella comes on strong and is a bit of a wrestling enthusiast. He’ll need a home with appropriately matched dog pals, or he’d be happy as a solo dog, soaking up all the attention.
