My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog I:5This dog is available to meet by appointment only. One year old and 104 pounds of love, Vanna is a sweet Cane Corso Mastiff mix looking for a calm, patient home to help her come out of her shell. Life in the shelter is a little overwhelming for this sensitive girl, but she’s showing us every day that she’s ready to bloom with the right support.  Vanna lights up and gains confidence when she has a friendly dog buddy to follow. She may take a little time to warm up, but with patience and love, she’s shown to be incredibly gentle and affectionate.  Vanna is looking for an experienced adopter (ideally with large breed knowledge) who can help her continue to grow and feel safe. A home with another calm, social dog would be her dream, but she might also do well as a solo pup with plenty of support and doggy playdates.
