There’s something special about Alamo. At just 5 months old and a little over 35 pounds, this Lab/Hound mix already carries himself with a quiet strength. His striking red-and-white coat and those soulful, eyeliner-lined eyes make him unforgettable, but it’s his personality that truly sets him apart. Alamo and his six siblings were found on a construction site with several adult dogs, most likely their parents. From the start, Alamo stepped into the role of leader—but not the loud, in-your-face kind. He’s more like the watchful guardian, sitting back to make sure everything is safe before joining in. When people approach, he doesn’t rush forward like some of his littermates. Instead, he watches carefully, weighing the moment. Give him just a few minutes, and once he sees there’s nothing to fear, his brave little heart nudges him closer. That first lean into your hand for affection is pure magic. Helping a shy puppy like Alamo learn to trust is one of the most rewarding experiences you could have. Each step forward—each wag of his tail, each cuddle after he makes the choice to come near—is a milestone worth celebrating. He’s smart, resilient, and already showing that once he gives you his trust, he’ll give it completely. Alamo is expected to grow into a handsome 65-pound adult. He’s receiving excellent vet care, has been dewormed, and will be neutered soon. He’s working on his house manners, is not yet crate trained, and does well with other dogs outside his pack. With patience, kindness, and love, Alamo is going to blossom into the loyal, steady companion he was always meant to be. If you’re ready to open your home and heart to this gentle guardian, please email ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Alamo is waiting for his forever family—the one that will let him shine.
