Prince Patrick is one of the smartest Great Pyrenees puppies we have encountered in a long time. This nugget that weighs 22 pounds at just 12 weeks, has already trained his foster mom to watch him scratch at the door and listen for his bark which means 'let me out to potty'. How about that for a young smart puppy!!!!??? This handsome boy was born around the Fourth of July under a porch at a home that his pure bred Great Pyrenees mom found just weeks before. The family met her as a stray and actually never knew she was pregnant. They noticed how pitifully matted momma was and had her shaved down to be free of the matting. They left town for two weeks and returned to find this momma just had 8 puppies that still had closed eyes and were so tiny. Momma had not been fed by anyone the whole time and was now nursing. What a miracle that all these puppies survived! Critter Cavalry Rescue was called and stepped up to foster the mom and puppies. This boy is the total package of what a Great Pyr is going to be....but a little on the smarter side! He is cuddly, well socialized with young children, other dogs and can even be around cats! He is going to be a BIG BOY! Probably 75-80 pounds and he will be absolutely STUNNING! Prince Patrick is a Prince indeed. He needs a fenced yard because he is addicted to being outside just hanging out, so a fenced yard is a MUST for him. We cannot put him in a condo or an apartment and he cannot be crated for 8-10 hours a day. Great Pyrs cannot be left outside for the workday. They will climb out of the fence to go looking for adventure. Just the way they are wired. If you know the breed and have the accommodations for Prince Patrick, please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and we will consider your lifestyle and home situation as a possibility. He is currently in Nashville, TN and can ride on the certified animal transport van on the coming weekend of SeptembePLEASE NOTE: Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.
