My story

I'm available for adoption at ACC's Mobile Adoption Event on Sunday, September 28 from 12pm - 4pm at Barking Day Adoption Event with Councilmember Shaun Abreu, West side of Broadway at 103rd St. Adoptions are in-person and first come, first served, so make sure to get there early. You can apply for me now, but it will not put me on hold for you. I can't wait to meet you!What my friends at ACC say about me:I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.Christofur was lying quietly on top of the den, appearing calm. He sniffed treats and allowed petting, then was coaxed off the den with more treats, which he enjoyed while appearing fairly relaxed. He gently rubbed his head against the assessor's hand and was calm when picked up and held, remaining so when set back down.Christofur interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in escalating when startled.A volunteer writes: Christofur sits right at the edge of his condo cubby with paws politely tucked in hopes someone will see him waiting. He wants so much to make a connection, but since Christofur usually chooses to sit in his cubby and not the main condo, finding new friends and a family hasn't been the easiest to come by. Christofur's curious and charmingly interested in what we're doing, just from his cubby. Leaning his head to meet my hand, he was happy for all pets and scritches. In hopes of building a friendship, I tried to offer some treats to get him to come to the main part of the condo but Christofur is someone who likes to take the lead with these things and we love him for that.
