My story

Currently in Vancouver!!! Meet Twinkie!   Name: Twinkie Age: 5 years old Sex: Female (Spayed) Breed: Terrier Mix Color: Brown & White Weight: 5.2 kg Height: 32 cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story   Twinkie was previously cared for by a person with an intellectual disability. For reasons we don’t know, she was eventually surrendered to the local city office and then transferred to the shelter. Now she’s looking for a forever family who will love her unconditionally.   Personality & Socialization   With People: Twinkie is extremely affectionate and adores people. She loves approaching both familiar faces and strangers, rubbing up against them and happily allowing pets. She’s friendly with everyone—men, women, seniors, and children—and does especially well with kids under 13. She even rolls over to show her belly, and it’s no problem to pick her up by gently supporting her chest and belly.   With Dogs: She is social with other dogs, greeting and playing with both familiar and new dogs. However, she’s more interested in people than dogs. She tends to get along best with dogs her own size and generally ignores other dogs when she’s focused on spending time with people.   With Cats: She shows little to no interest in cats.   Energy Level   Twinkie has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities but settles down calmly to rest afterward.   Walking   She can pull a bit on leash but overall follows her person well and enjoys going for walks.   Other Notes • No resource guarding with people or other dogs • Rarely barks • Calm and quiet in a kennel • Prefers outdoor potty breaks and does well with outdoor elimination Send in your application through our website!  Please also visit our Facebook or Instagram. ##2532438##
