🐶 Meet Dottie 🐶 Copied straight from foster mom’s post: “Lottie Dottie, she likes to pawty! Welcome our newest foster, Dottie! When we heard the Pasco County Shelter’s plea to help with overcrowding after they had a large confiscation case of 20 dogs come in, we knew we wanted to help. We went to meet a few dogs we saw on the website but this little girl saw us as soon as we went in the medical room, stood up immediately, wagging her tail voraciously, licking and pawing at the cage begging to get out. It was an instant connection and love at first sight. I knew she was coming home with us. She’s only 5 months old and super skinny, with scaly, flaky, scabby, crusty ears, and stinky skin and a belly full of hookworms and diarrhea but the sweetest girl ever. Dottie is desperate for affection and immediately got along with the kids and dogs as soon as she got to our house. She follows me everywhere and is a total love bug, lap dog, cuddle queen. A velcro dog and stage 5 clinger lol. I’m here for it! She literally fell asleep on my lap during a conference call and puts her head on my hand while I work. She’ll get medicated baths and meds to address her health concerns before being spayed and ready to find her forever home. Meanwhile we’re the lucky ones that get to spoil her rotten and smother her with the love she craves (while we hold our noses and wash our hands after lol.) Her intake photo vs first hour in our home photo is everything. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need.
