My story

Meet Iris! 🌺 Iris is a 6-month-old fluffy tortie beauty with a bob tail and all the Maine Coon flair—adorable ear tufts (some with a little curl!) and a luxuriously soft coat. She is bonded with her sister Ophelia 💕, and the two must be adopted together. They balance each other beautifully—playful, sweet, and full of affection. Iris is an affectionate little shadow who loves being near her people. She’ll follow you around, stay within arm’s reach, and happily settle beside you or in your lap. She’s patient and polite when asking for attention, quietly waiting for pets and affection—but she’ll wag her little nub tail when she’s extra happy! Playtime is one of her favorite parts of the day. Iris is a fearless high-jumper when chasing wand toys, loves lasers, and bounces after sparkle balls. She’s also chatty when she plays, making chirps and trills that show off her playful personality. Gentle, affectionate, and endlessly soft, Iris is the kind of cat who makes you feel special just by always wanting to be by your side. 🍗 Faves: Temptations, wet food, wand toys, and lap time. 🐾 Best Match: A forever home where she and Ophelia can stay together. 💜 Rescue Story: Iris is part of the “Mountain Crew”—16 kittens rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in the mountains. They arrived filthy, starving, and flea-covered, but quickly learned they would never be hungry or unloved again. Their Maine Coon/Manx mix roots give them both charm and beauty! With her fluffy coat, sweet nature, and loyal personality, Iris will make a wonderful companion—and with Ophelia by her side, the love will be doubled.
