Bao

My story

Bao is a darling boy that was sadly neglected by his previous owners. He was let loose to roam on his own and not cared for. When he came into rescue he was afraid and unsure of how he was going to be treated. He is slowly learning that he is safe with us. He goes to his foster mom when he is feeling insecure and lets her pick him up. His name means precious in Chinese. And he is all of they and more. We are not certain of his mix. Bao is a sturdy boy at 25 lbs and low to the ground. He is waiting for his neuter surgery and will get a heartworm test and microchip at the same time. Bao is looking for an older family. A home where he can have time to adjust and know that he is safe. A family that will take him on walks and let him explore, safely on leash. He is a great companion and rides well in the car—he will sneak in a few kisses though. He is good in a crate and waits patiently for you to come get him out in the morning. If you’re looking for a small dog that can handle a hike, as well as snuggle time on the couch this gorgeous boy might be for you!
