My story

Meet Cosmo- He Will Orbit Into Your Heart Cosmo is a four-year-old, 27lb, lilac merle, French Bulldog who came to the freedom squad from Yuma Animal Shelter after being found as a stray in pretty rough shape. His ear was on the verge of being unsalvageable, his skin was inflamed, and his eye needed a lot of care. But with the right medications, creams, and, of course, plenty of love, Cosmo has blossomed into the healthy, happy boy he was always meant to be. His fur is growing back, his weight is finally perfect, and his eye is looking so much better! Personality fun: This little guy is a total goofball with the sweetest heart. He loves to play with his foster sister Cali, race around with zoomies, and then proudly drag toys—and even dog beds—through the doggy door as if he’s helping with redecorating. After a good round of play, he melts right into his foster mom’s lap for cuddle time, though after about twenty minutes he’s ready to sprawl out on the floor like a starfish orbiting the universe. He’s also a bit of a runner, so doors have to be watched carefully, but he’s learning the “back” command and improving every day. Manners/Training: Cosmo has mastered potty training and uses the doggy door like a pro. Since having regular outdoor access, he hasn’t marked in the house at all. He also loves absolutely everyone he meets, especially children. His foster sitter’s two daughters clicked with him immediately, and he soaked up every bit of their attention. With other dogs, Cosmo does great too, particularly playful companions like Cali. Above all else, he adores his foster mom and thrives on human connection. Health: While Cosmo is the life of the party, there are just two things he’d rather not do: have his ears cleaned or get eye drops. The trick is catching him—because he thinks that’s a game too! His ears and eyes have come such a long way already, and his skin has improved by about 85% thanks to his care plan. He eats from a slow feeder to keep his food down, and with a little continued maintenance, he’ll be in tip-top shape. Cosmo is the perfect mix of comedian, cuddlebug, and loyal companion. Whether he’s zooming with friends, showing off his toy-collecting skills, or curling up for love, he’ll keep you smiling every single day. This boy has overcome so much and still greets life with joy and affection. If you’re looking for a dog who will bring laughter, love, and a little mischief into your home, Cosmo is ready to be your star. Cosmo is available to adopt at freedomfrenchierescue.org his adoption donation fee is $1050.00. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, located in Avondale, AZ, and ready to watch the shooting stars with you! *Please Note: All learning and guidance must continue in their new home. A dog’s behavior can change with a new environment and energy, and every family’s dynamic is different. What works or is allowed in one foster home may not be the same in yours, so consistency, patience, and continued training are key to their success.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cosmo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
