My story

Passion is a sweet, shy, Shih Tzu mix girl ready for her forever home. Although she’s a shy girl, she is friendly with everyone. Her big brown Shih Tzu eyes will melt your heart. She gets along well with the other dogs here at the rescue. Passion is a year old and weighs 11 lbs. She’s had a bit of a rough start in life we believe. She was found on the west side of Phoenix and probably spent much of her time living outdoors. Those days are over for her though and she is eager to a best friend in her new family. Like many of our rescue dogs, we are not sure how well housetrained Passion is. But with gentle persuasion, some consistency, structure and praise she should be easy to train. Passion is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming periodically. Passion’s adoption fee is $350 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs. Please note you MAY NOT be contacted for up to 10 days to schedule a meet and greet if your family is the most suitable for this rescue dog. Regrettably, we do not have the manpower currently to contact all applicants. We keep ALL applications in our database so please feel free to contact us when you see another dog of interest. We appreciate all applicants and do our best to pair every dog and family for a successful and happy life.
