My story

Looking to add a little sparkle to your life? Then say hello to Goldie, a 9lb poodle mix who’s pure gold from nose to tail! Fostered in Toronto, this golden girl is estimated to be around 2 years old — though one vet thought she was older and another thought she was still a puppy, so her age is a bit of a mystery. What’s not a mystery is her heart of gold and her golden personality! Goldie is the sweetest little pup who’s been winning hearts with her floppy, sloppy zoomies around the house. She’s got a sensitive tummy, but now that she’s on her vet-prescribed golden concoction, she’s doing much better and shining brighter every day. Mealtime is her favorite time — she gets so excited, you’d think she just struck gold! She adores being picked up and carried around, melting into your arms like a warm sunbeam. She’s great with everyone and would be a golden addition to a home with another playful dog — though she’s not a match for older dogs who prefer peace and quiet over puppy play. Goldie’s energy is pure 24-karat — she loves to play tug-of-war and bounce around with joy. But like any young pup, she’s still learning the ropes. Her playful biting can be a bit intense, especially when you go to tickle her belly, kiss her paws, or even lean in for a nose boop — she might try to nibble you with her sharp little teeth! She’s not being mean, just a little too enthusiastic with her puppy love. When she gets too bitey, her foster gives her a blanket or chew toy to redirect her golden chompers. Because of this, only families with older children will be considered — ones who won’t mind if she tries to “sample” them like a tasty treat. Goldie doesn’t bark much, making her a golden candidate for apartment living, as long as her humans commit to taking her out for long walks a few times a day to help her burn off that puppy energy. She’s a playful, cuddly, quirky little gem who just needs a bit of training and a whole lot of love. If you’re ready to welcome a bundle of golden joy into your life, Goldie is ready to shine in her forever home. She’s not just a dog — she’s a golden opportunity to find unconditional love, laughter, and a lifetime of sparkle. ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt GOLDIE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
