At West Valley Animal Rescue, we do things a bit differently. While many rescues take days to respond or never reply at all, we move fast. The application (link below) is the first step and helps us confirm that you and your household are a great fit. Once you submit it, text us right away. Gerald’s story is one of heartbreak turned into hope. When he was found as a stray, he was matted, filthy, and clearly had been neglected for far too long. After a much-needed grooming and plenty of love, this sweet boy is finally ready to start the life he always deserved. Gerald is an absolute lap dog who lives for attention and loves nothing more than having his head gently scratched. He’s crate trained, uses the dog door at his foster home, and is learning that people can be kind and safe. His coat was shaved short due to the condition he was found in, but with regular grooming and care, it will grow back beautifully. Gerald is gentle, affectionate, and so grateful for every ounce of love he’s given. Whoever adopts him won’t just be getting a dog—they’ll be gaining a loyal little soul who will spend the rest of his life saying thank you. Gerald’s adoption donation includes his age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, neuter, groom, microchip, collar and leash. Apply below to adopt Gerald. We are a foster-based rescue with homes mainly in Goodyear and Buckeye. If approved, you’ll meet a volunteer or foster family at a local pet store we partner with or at a foster home for adoption.
