My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Nana Age: 3 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo Mix Color: White Weight: 15kg / 33lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from the final euthanasia list at the Pyeongtaek municipal shelter thanks to the help of a loving rescue team who gave me a second chance at life.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hello, I am Nana. I love people, but my feelings about other dogs can vary—I can live with them, but it depends on the situation.I have a strong appetite, so I get excited around food.I’m a Level 2 rescue dog, which means I might be a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly and get along well in no time!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I may be a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly when offered treats and will soon let you pet me. I have not had experience interacting with children under the age of 13. I can be gently lifted by placing an arm under my belly and holding me securely. · With Dogs: I may approach unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but I don’t usually play with them. If another dog provokes me, I may respond, so careful supervision is needed when I first meet unfamiliar dogs. · With Cats: My reaction to cats has not been observed yet.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a normal energy level and enjoy outdoor activities, but I usually rest calmly afterward. I tend to pull on the leash, but I generally follow my human well.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food from people, but I may growl if another dog approaches while I’m eating. I bark at strangers. I stay calm when placed in a kennel. I usually go to the bathroom only when I’m outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I would do best in a home where I can get lots of love and attention from people, since I adore human company. A home with other dogs can work, but someone patient is needed to help me feel comfortable at first. I’d thrive in a family that understands I can be a little shy initially, and that keeps me safe during meal times because I can be a bit food-motivated. A calm and caring environment, where I can enjoy outdoor activities and then relax peacefully, would be perfect for me!   SPECIAL NOTES Hi there! I came to the Pyeongtaek shelter and stayed there for about five months before being rescued. When I first went to the vet, I loved people so much, but I had a little trouble getting along with other dogs, so I stayed in my own space. After moving to a foster home with a bigger area, I’ve learned that as long as I don’t bump into other dogs, I don’t fight. I’m not really the type to play a lot with other dogs, but I absolutely love people! Now, after about a month here, I’m much calmer around other dogs and hardly have any disagreements with them. I can’t wait to find a loving home where I can snuggle and be your best little friend!       Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2614474##
