My story

Finley is a nine-month-old, 29-pound white Boxer mix. This very handsome young dog came to Home Fur Good from Maricopa County, where the busy, noisy shelter environment was overwhelming for him. Because of his fear, Finley was placed on the euthanasia list for hiding under his bed. Home Fur Good staff made a point to meet him before his deadline. They could see that Finley never showed reactivity when he was unsure or frightened, only a quiet hope that someone would understand him. Since arriving at Home Fur Good, Finley has been blossoming. With patience, kindness, and consistency, his confidence has grown, and his true personality is beginning to shine. He is revealing himself to be a friendly, fun-loving pup who enjoys lots of playtime and affection. Watching Finley discover that the world can be a safe and happy place has been incredibly rewarding. Finley would likely thrive in an active yet patient, loving home where he can continue building confidence at his own pace. A friendly canine companion could be a wonderful role model and help him feel secure and help him burn some puppy energy off. With the right family, Finley is sure to grow into a devoted and joyful companion. Finley’s adoption fee of $350 covers essential services such as spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
