My story

DOB: 10/16/2022 Breed: Terrier mix-Neutered male 11lbs-Microchipped & fully vaccinated-Negative for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, and on a monthly preventative*Adoption Fee $400*A little bit about me… Hey there, I’m Grits! I got my name from my days hanging around a breakfast spot, cruising the streets like a local celebrity. Life looks a lot different now, and I’m ready for my next big adventure..a forever home! I’ve gotten a glow up since arriving at the shelter and even learned how to walk on the leash. I enjoy playing with other small dogs and always bring positive vibes wherever I go. I’m still learning the ropes though and will need help with basic training and potty training. I’d be a great walking partner and would love to be your little travel buddy, whether that’s road trips or neighborhood strolls. If you’re looking for a cheerful, fun-loving pup who’s ready to start fresh, I’d love to meet you!The highlights…-Minimal shedding-I need all basic training -Happy to make new friends-Secure fence requiredKey points to know…-Training is a must: As a former stray, I’m still learning all the basics like potty training, house manners, and routines. Consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement will be key.-Potty training: I’m sweet and lovable, but I currently mark/pee on all areas of my kennel. A committed adopter should be prepared for frequent potty breaks, supervision, and continued training to help me succeed.-Adjustment time is normal: New environments can be exciting and overwhelming for little terrier mixes like me. With structure, boundaries, and time, I’ll settle in and show just how great of a companion I can be.
