My story

Hi there, I’m Trina! I’ve been waiting for this moment—to tell you my story and hopefully find my forever home. I’m about 3 years old, and if you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will brighten your days, I think I might be the perfect fit for you. When I first came into foster care, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Life before this is a little fuzzy for me, and honestly, I didn’t know if I could trust humans. But then something amazing happened—kind people showed me love and patience. My volunteer trainer says I stole her heart during evaluations, and that makes me feel so special! Over the past few months, I’ve learned that humans can be wonderful, and now I’m ready to share all that love right back. Here’s what makes me, well… me: &#226&#156&#133 Kennel trained – I know how to relax in my space when needed. &#226&#156&#133 Good with cats – Those furry friends don’t bother me one bit. &#226&#156&#133 Great with bigger kids – I love gentle play and attention. &#226&#156&#133 Not scared of thunderstorms or fireworks – Loud noises? No problem! &#226&#156&#133 Super loyal – Once you’re my person, I’ll stick by your side through everything. &#226&#156&#133 Leash trained & potty trained – Walks and outdoor adventures? Count me in! &#226&#156&#133 Could care less about goats – Farm life? I’m easygoing! Pretty great, right? My foster family says I’ve been exceptional in their home. I’ve got a playful, puppy-like personality—I love toys, and zooming around the yard is one of my favorite things. If you throw a ball, I’ll chase it with all the joy in the world! After playtime, I’m happy to curl up and snuggle because being close to my people is the best feeling ever. I do have one little preference: I’d do best as the only dog in the home. I like having all the love and attention to myself, and too many doggie friends can feel overwhelming for me. But trust me, I have enough love to fill your whole heart. As for my looks? Well, I’m what they call a Heinz 57 wire-hair mix—a unique beauty with a scruffy charm that will make you smile every time you see me. I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, and even had a fresh groom, so I’m ready to go home today. All I need now is YOU. I dream about what my forever home will be like—maybe a cozy spot by the window, a yard to play in, and a family who will love me as much as I’ll love them. I promise to greet you with wagging tails, happy zoomies, and endless loyalty. Every day with me will be full of joy, laughter, and unconditional love.
