My story

DOB: June 12th, 2023 Archer is being fostered at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s pet store partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved. Archer is an outgoing, confident, and delightfully sassy cat who knows exactly what he wants… your attention! He loves to cuddle and will happily burrow under blankets to be cozy. Archer is very affectionate and shows his love with face licks and gentle love bites. He’s playful, energetic, and a bit feisty, so his play style can be on the rough side he’d do best with adults or older, cat-savvy kids who understand feline boundaries. Archer is extremely food-motivated and will need his portions monitored to maintain a healthy weight. Archer was comfortable with the foster family’s dog and would likely be fine with another chill cat but we don’t know for sure. Archer has successfully completed treatment for Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) and has made an excellent recovery. He is currently in the standard 90-day observation period and continues to do beautifully. This is a newer treatment, and in our experience cats who respond as well as he has continue to do very well; future adopters are encouraged to consult with their veterinarian regarding FIP. Unrelated to his FIP treatment, Archer previously had entropion surgery. His eyes may appear a little more relaxed, but his vision is normal and he gets around just fine. If you’re looking for a confident, affectionate, and spirited companion with a big personality, Archer may be your perfect match.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Archer, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
