My story

Hello. My name is Sundol. I’m a 3-year-old boy, a Poongsan–Jindo mix, and I weigh 18kg. I was rescued just before my time was up. Even though I went through difficult moments, I never lost my trust in people or the world. I still believe in humans, and I still approach them with a gentle heart. I get along very well with other dogs. With people, I’m affectionate in a quiet way—I’m the kind of dog who comes to you first and softly shares my heart. True to my name, I’m simply… gentle. I’m a very quiet dog. I hardly bark, and on walks, I prefer to go slowly and calmly. I like matching my pace to the person walking beside me. Just being together is enough to make me feel at ease. This will be my first time living in a home. That means I’ll need to learn things step by step— house routines, potty training, and everyday life with a family. I’ll need patience and gentle guidance from you. But I’m a Poongsan–Jindo mix, which means I naturally look deeply into my person’s eyes, form strong bonds with my family, and understand new environments quickly. With calm, consistent support, I’m expected to adapt faster than you might think. If I’m suddenly placed in an unfamiliar space, I may be a little cautious at first. When that happens, please don’t rush me— just wait quietly and let me come to you when I’m ready. Dogs like me are known for our deep loyalty. Once we give our heart, we stay—completely and sincerely. I carry that devotion in a soft, gentle, and steady way. The world may still feel unfamiliar to me, but every day we spend together will be a lesson, and every lesson will turn into trust— trust that grows into a lifelong bond.
