My story

They were kept beside the farm and meant to become guard dogs. Sadly, they were neglected and left without proper care, water, or shelter, and were fed only leftover human food. Danbam means a sweet chestnut in Korean. Our volunteers saw them one day and could not walk away. Every time food was brought, the puppies were overjoyed to see a kind face. After several months of patient conversations, the owner finally agreed to surrender them. Since then, Danbam and Danpoong have been living safely at our partner boarding house with other dogs. Personality and Socialization Danbam is a very sweet, affectionate, and gentle boy. Between the two siblings, he is the follower and happily looks to his sister for guidance. He closely imitates what Danpoong does and feels most confident when he can take cues from her. He loves people and enjoys affection, cuddles, and staying close to his humans. Danbam is a lovely happy boy who is so cute. Danbam gets along well with other dogs, particularly those who are gentle and friendly. He is polite in his interactions and tends to avoid loud or overly dominant dogs. Danbam is sweet and gentle around both people and other dogs. Behaviour Danbam does well in the car, during baths, and at the vet. When he was rescued, both he and his sister had parvo and spent two months hospitalized. During that difficult time, Danbam remained calm, adaptable, and easy to handle. He is new to leash walking but is learning steadily and follows his human well. Danbam likes toys and running around and playing with other dogs. Health and Diet Danbam is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. He receives monthly parasite prevention and eats dry food twice a day with no signs of allergies. He fully recovered from parvo last year and is healthy and ready for his forever home. Ideal Home Danbam has a sweet, gentle personality and a medium energy level. He would be a wonderful match for many families, including first time dog parents or homes with another calm and friendly dog. His ideal home would be one where someone works from home or is retired, as he thrives on companionship and enjoys being close to his people. Adopting him together with his sister Danpoong would be a dream come true. Although it is not a requirement, he would be much happier with another friendly dog companion.
