Sol

My story

Currently fostered in Texas Sol is apx 6-8 years old and 16 pounds. He is a gentle and sweet baby. Gets along great with all cats , dogs, animals and kids. He came from a home with children. His mama fell on hard times and was unable to care for him. Sol was a little anxious and nervous when he first arrived. He drooled and whined a lot the first 48 hours but after that he made new doggie friends and got used to a routine . He is very well mannered, crate, leash and potty trained. He was neutered as a baby so he does not mark. Sol is a very gentle boy. He loves people and likes to be around his people so someone that is around a lot, or a home body would be a good fit for him. I think a very busy family that has gone for extremely long hours would not be the best fit for him. He would be quite sad. He gets very attached to his people very quickly. That being said, he does not have severe separation anxiety or anything like that and would be fine left home alone for your average workdays and such. He never is destructive and has good potty manners and he is fantastic with all other animals so he is fine to be left out of a crate and we do not use crates here , however his previous owner did crate train him. He is a gentleman and he has very good manners. He is well socialized as well and would be a great dog to take on trips or to the office. He needs a couple days of adjusting time into his new life and routine, but after that he will be great. He just needs a chance and some positive reinforcement and extra love during this time.
