Julio and Wilbert

My story

Julio and Wilbert are best friends, and would like to be rehomed together. Their profile says abandoned because it’s the closest category to describe the situation. My ex, from a nearly decade long relationship, lost a small fortune and then left me with both dogs and little else to join some “commune”. I’ve tried to keep them and care for them, but it’s too much. They are so sweet and loving, and they deserve better than I am able to give them. It breaks what’s left of my heart to have to do this, but it’s the right thing. Julio is older, but has always had and continues to have boundless energy. Unless cuddles are on the table, in which case he will sit on your lap all day if you let him. He starting to have trouble seeing, so he bumps into things, but in undeterred. Wilbert is a weird little dude. Hates baths, is terrified of vacuums and loves to be given a treat but generally just spits it out. Which is odd, because, if given the chance he would 100% eat himself to death.
