Petey

My story

Meet Petey, a super sweet, cuddle bug who’s about 40 pounds of pure love. Petey is incredibly affectionate and thrives on human connection; he’d much rather be snuggled up with his people than roughhousing with other dogs (though he does get along well with them). Petey is potty trained and has done well with our 5-year-old, but he’s a bit unsure around our newly mobile 1-year-old, which is part of why are looking for the right new home for him. With a new baby who needs constant attention, we just aren’t able to give Petey the time, structure, and engagement he truly deserves. He’s an active, loving dog who would do best with an active owner or a family with older, energetic kids. Petey doesn’t do well when confined, he’s managed to escape multiple crates so he’d be happiest in a home where he doesn’t need to be crated regularly. We’re committed to finding him a home where he can truly thrive and be someone’s best buddy and get all of the snuggles!
