My story

Hello! My name Echo!I`m a beautiful husky looking for some humans who will enjoy my quirky personality! I can take a few minutes and lots of sniffs to warm up to new people. I prefer when strangers ignore me, or even better, toss tasty treats my way. I came into GHS with a very thick and matted undercoat. After a pro groom where a 10-gallon-bin-worth of fur was removed, I`m feeling SO much better and enjoying pets and touching so much more! I hope my new family will keep my coat feeling good with regular brushing. True to my breed, I am very chatty and I do like to make silly husky noises, so I hope you like singing!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: Teenager may be ok. No young children given I’m an older guy looking for a retirement home and don’t have much experience with kids.OTHER DOGS: Yes, I have lived with dogs before and could do well with a respectful dog who’s not too exuberant.CATS: Yes, I have lived with cats before but a slow introduction and cats experienced living with dogs is still recommended.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: I would likely do best with someone that has previous dog, or even better, husky, experience.FENCED-IN YARD: Not necessarily. HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: No apartment buildings as I may bark if other dogs are too close.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Low-medium.
