Athena

My story

Athena came into our lives as a stray in July 2024, likely abandoned after having puppies. We searched for an owner but no one came forward, so we brought her into our home and into our hearts. She is incredibly loving, gentle with people, and full of affection. For a long time she lived peacefully with our other dogs and cats, but something changed a couple of months ago. She suddenly attacked our female dog, and recently she has gone after three of our cats. It breaks our hearts, because we know this isn’t who she wants to be—she struggles with anxiety and seems overwhelmed in a multi‑pet home. Athena needs to be the only animal, where she can feel safe and adored. She’s a habitual licker, loves car rides, and wants nothing more than to be close to her person. Letting her go is painful, but she deserves a home that can give her the focused love she needs. She will be someones whole world.
