Hector

My story

He was rescued along with another dog in hopes they would keep each other company, but together they’ve proven to be more than I can reasonably manage. With recent life changes and limited time, training two large-breed adolescent dogs has become difficult. On his own, he truly shines. He is potty trained, kennel trained (no barking or whining very at ease), and does very well on walks. He knows his manners—he sits before doors are opened and waits for permission before going through. We are actively working on his socialization, introducing him to the world around him, and he’s making great progress. He is a Shepherd/Malinois mix and is as sweet as can be. He is very loyal, sticks close to me even off leash, and reliably comes when called. He does well with small dogs; cats are unknown. He would thrive in a home where he can get continued training, structure, and one-on-one attention.
