My story

 QUICK FACTS  Name: Mari Age: 5 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo Corgi mix Color: Beige Weight: 13.6kg / 30lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed    MY RESCUE STORY  I was rescued from a crowded city pound after being placed on the euthanasia list due to lack of space. Thankfully, kind rescuers saved me just in time. Now I’m safe and ready to find my forever family — one who will truly cherish me and give me the loving home I deserve.    MY HEALTH  • All vaccinations up-to-date • Spayed & healthy with no known health issues    MY PERSONALITY  I’m a teeny bit shy at first, but please don’t let that fool you! Beneath that gentle introduction is a super sweet girl who warms up quickly and shows her loving personality in no time. I carry that classic Jindo elegance — my face has that beautiful, fox-like Jindo look — but surprise! I also have the cutest little short legs like a corgi. It’s the perfect combination of grace and adorable charm all in one small package.    MY SOCIAL SKILLS  · With People: I’m just a tiny bit shy at first, but it truly doesn’t take me long to open up! During my photoshoot session, I warmed up quickly and couldn’t get enough pets and affection from the staff and volunteers. I absolutely love people, and treats are a wonderful way to my heart. Once I feel comfortable, I happily accept gentle pets and soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. · With Dogs: I like to greet new dogs politely, but I don’t rush straight into play. I take my time and feel things out first. I get along well with the dogs at the care facility and know how to socialize nicely. That said, I can be a bit of a jealous girl when other dogs are getting lots of affection — I just love attention so much! Because of that, I would likely do best as the only dog in the home, where I can soak up all the love and be your one and only princess. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY  I have a moderate energy level and enjoy a nice balance in my day. I love spending time outdoors, exploring new scents and taking in my surroundings. After I’ve had my adventure and some fresh air, I’m more than happy to come inside, relax, and snuggle up for some cozy downtime with you.    TRAINING & HABITS  I’m still working on my leash manners and can get a little excited at the start of walks, which means I might pull for a short while. Once that initial excitement passes, I settle down beautifully and follow my handler’s lead nicely. I’m eager to learn and improve every day! I don’t guard my food from people or other dogs, and I’m a very quiet girl who rarely barks. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel when it’s time to relax. I’m also well-adjusted with my potty routine and can use both indoor pee pads and go outdoors. I’m truly a gentle, easygoing companion who just needs a little guidance to shine.    MY IDEAL HOME  I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • I would best as the only dog at home as I can get a bit jealous of other dogs    SPECIAL NOTES  I have so much potential in me and a heart full of love to give! I’m a sweet, affectionate girl who truly enjoys being around people, but I also have an independent side and know how to keep myself happily entertained. I’m confident and balanced — loving attention, yet comfortable doing my own thing. I also have a big appetite, which makes me eager to please and quick to learn new tricks.
