River

My story

River was found by Arizona Humane Society as a stray. There was very little known information about him before he came into our home. Right away we were met with severe anxiety and clear signs of past abuse. He has been with us for 6 months now and has made good progress with coming out of his shell and gaining trust, however his separation anxiety is a full time job. He needs someone who works from home, is a home body, and can be his best friend. We cannot give that to him and it is unfair to am and to us. If left alone he will poop and pee everywhere, even after extensive exercise, potty breaks, and a strict feeding schedule. It has become to much for us to handle as two full time working adults. Crates have not been an option for us due to his destruction of the last one and hurting himself in the process. All that aside River is a kind and gentle animal with a silly personality. He’s a good dog who’s been hurt too badly. We love River and want someone who can love him correctly
