My story

Georgie’s story could have ended before it ever truly began. This sweet puppy found himself facing euthanasia after a veterinarian detected a significant heart murmur. When we heard about him, we knew we had to step in and give him the chance he deserved. With the experience we have helping animals with complex medical needs and the support of our incredible cardiology team, we were able to get Georgie the answers he needed. Further testing revealed that he had a congenital heart defect, something he was born with that required a specialized procedure to correct. Georgie underwent surgery with our cardiology team at Thrive and did absolutely wonderfully. His procedure was a success, and we are so happy to share that he is expected to go on and live a normal, full life. Now that his heart has been repaired, Georgie is free to do what puppies do best. He is smart, funny, and unbelievably adorable. He has a playful spirit, a sweet personality, and the kind of charm that makes everyone who meets him fall in love. Georgie truly is a joy and we know he is going to make an incredible family dog.
