My story

The application is the first step in the adoption process, so if you are interested in adopting please fill out the online adoption application  first by visiting our website at www.dachshundpaws.org    Jack is a 7-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He was adopted as a puppy and has spent his life in a loving home, but as his family grew and became busier with young children, Jack found himself overwhelmed by all the commotion. Jack is a sweet, affectionate boy who thrives in a calm and quiet environment. While he gets along with other dogs, he’s spent his life as the center of attention and would truly prefer to be your one and only—where he can soak up all the love he deserves. He absolutely adores attention and enjoys being treated like the little prince he is. Whether it’s cuddling on the couch or simply being near his person, Jack is happiest when he feels safe and loved. One of Jack’s great qualities is his independence—when you’re away, he’s perfectly content to nap and relax until you return home. Jack is now looking for a peaceful forever home where he can feel secure, cherished, and understood. If you’re searching for a loyal companion who will reward your love with devotion, Jack may be your perfect match. Jack's adoption fee: $100We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit. At that time we will bring the dog to the home in which you will all be sharing. We ask the entire family to be there that day.
