QUICK FACTS Name: Taya Age: About 5 Years Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Samoyed Mix Color: White Weight: 27kg / 59lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from the euthanasia list at the city shelter. Now I’m safe and ready to start a new chapter with a loving family of my own.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Taya, a fluffy and lovable girl with a big heart—and yes, a little extra fluff on my body too! When we first meet, I can be slightly cautious at first, but it doesn’t take long— I warm up and become comfortable. Once I do, you’ll see how much I love affection. I enjoy being petted and even love being brushed. I’m very gentle with people and get along well with other dogs. Even though I’m a big girl and other dogs rarely challenge me, I’m a true peace-lover and have no interest in fighting. I’m a dog who is smart, sweet, and full of quiet charm. With a loving family and some healthy adventures together, I’ll become the happiest companion you could ask for.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I might be a bit shy when we first meet. But if you offer me a tasty treat, I’ll happily take it and warm up to you quickly. Before long, we’ll be friends and you’ll be able to pet me too! I haven’t had the chance to meet children under 13 yet, but with careful introduction, I’m sure I’ll get along great with them. · With Dogs: When I meet a new dog, I like to walk up and say hello. I’m friendly and curious, but I like to take things slow. I’m very gentle-hearted. Even when another dog tries to provoke me, I usually choose to walk away instead of getting into trouble. I like to keep things calm and friendly. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown       ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I enjoy outdoor activities like walks and exploring, and I’m always happy to spend time outside. After some fun outdoor time, I’m also very good at settling down and resting quietly at home. I have a nice balance between playtime and relaxation. I have plenty of experience going on walks, so I’m a very polite walking companion. I don’t pull on the leash and I follow my person nicely. I love calm, enjoyable walks where I can stay right by your side and explore the world together.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food from people, but if another dog comes too close while I’m eating, I might give a little growl to let them know it’s my mealtime.Sometimes when I want something — like attention, treats, or playtime — I might bark to let you know.When I’m placed in a kennel, I stay calm and settle down nicely.I’m mostly used to going potty outside.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself.
