My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Sani Age: About 2 Years Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Brown Weight: 18kg / 39lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from the city shelter where I was placed on the euthanasia list during its transition to direct management. I am now safe, and I’m ready to find a loving family to start my new life with.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I’m a handsome Jindo boy with a calm and gentle personality. Even though I’m a big dog, I’m actually a very soft and sweet soul. I’m affectionate and love being close to my people. I also get along well with other dogs and never start fights, though I do love attention from my humans. I’m a dog with wonderful manners, a gentle heart, and lots of charm. I’m ready to become a loyal companion to a family who will guide me with patience and love.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I might feel a bit shy when we first meet. But if you offer me a yummy treat, I’ll happily take it and warm up to you quickly. Before long, we’ll be friends and you’ll be able to hold me in your arms and pet me too! I’ll even roll over and show you my belly — that’s my way of saying I feel safe and would love some belly rubs! I haven’t had the chance to meet children under 13 yet, but with careful introduction, I’m sure we’ll become friends in no time! · With Dogs: I’m a very friendly dog! I like walking up to both familiar dogs and new dogs to say hello, and invite them to play! I get along with all dogs, but I’m especially comfortable and friendly with dogs who are around my size. I’m a gentle friend and if another dog tries to provoke me, I usually choose to walk away instead of getting into trouble. I prefer to keep things calm and friendly. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I enjoy outdoor activities like walks and exploring, and I’m always happy to spend time outside with my person. After some fun outdoor time, I’m also very good at settling down and resting quietly at home. I have a nice balance between playtime and relaxation. I’m still a little new to walking outside. I don’t have a lot of experience yet, so if something scary appears, I might crouch down low to the ground because I feel nervous. With a patient person and gentle guidance, I can slowly build my confidence and learn that the world isn’t so scary.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food from people, but if another dog comes too close while I’m eating, I might give a little growl to let them know it’s my mealtime.Sometimes when I want something — like attention or treats — I might bark to let you know. I may also bark when I see a stranger. When I’m placed in a kennel, I might whine a little. I just prefer being close to my people.I’m mostly used to going potty outside. If I visit a new place, I might feel the urge to mark at first. With guidance and consistency, I can learn the house rules.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES On walks, I might crouch down and freeze because I feel unsure. But if you give me a little encouragement, I quickly relax and follow along happily. With a bit more leash training, I’m sure I’ll become even more confident on walks.    Sani's Youtube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2684216##
