Mabel (fiv)

My story

Mabel is a very sweet cat. She used to be a stray, so she can be skittish and shy. However, she warms up quickly to strangers, especially if they give her food/treats. She loves being pet, cardboard scratching pads, and teaser wands. Mabel is very chill. She likes playtime but is happy looking out the window most of the day. She will most likely be good in a home, either alone or with another mellow cat. Dogs and small children would be too stressful for Mabel, so a home with adults and maybe another friendly cat would be best for her. Mabel is litter box trained. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped. She is negative for FELV, but is positive for FIV; however, she is very healthy and has never had an issue because of it. This does not prevent her living and playing with cats that don't have FIV.  Mabel's adoption fee is $180.   IMPORTANT INFORMATION: This kitty lives with FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), which is a common, slow-acting virus that weakens the immune system over time. FIV is contracted through deep bite wounds from another cat infected with FIV. Cats with FIV live long, happy lives with few restrictions and often do not need special diet or medicine.
