My story

A Loveable and Gentle-soulPaz is just beginning to discover the world, at 10 months old he is already a good balance of chill and playful. He has been in foster care for almost 2 months now and we’ve watched him blossom and open up a little more everyday.BIO:- Potcake/Mix, 10 months old, Male (neutered)- Medium sized (51 lbs) will likely grow another 10-15 lbs when full grown- Medium energy, with some puppy behaviour, especially in the outdoors where he loves to explore and has shown interest in water- Paz has grown up in the safety of a rescue organization in Antigua after his Mother was taken inABOUT PAZ:- Paz may be a little shy at first, but he is learning quickly to trust and will seek out pats and lay his head on your lap for some cuddles- He absolutely loves going on walks and has not shown any reactivity to other dogs; he pulls a little but his Foster Dad is working on keeping him at his side and he’s doing well- While at his foster’s home he has been fine left alone and not shown any signs of separation anxiety; he’s happy to find comfort in his kennel and will spend most of his time there even with the door open- His favourite activity is chewing on a marrow bone; he has not shown any resource guarding around his bones or toys- This sweet pup is a quiet companion who tends to not be very vocal in the house- Paz is house-trained, microchipped and has his core vaccinationsPAZ’S IDEAL HOME:- A family that loves walks and exploring the world- Paz needs a family that will give him time to settle at his own pace for his confidence to grow, once he settles into his home his true, loving nature will shine - A house/townhouse with a backyard might be better (the noise and movement of an elevator might be overwhelming for Paz)- He could be good with older kids that understand that slower and calmer is better- Gets along with most dogs (if his potential adopter already has a dog, we will arrange for a meet & greet)Paz translates to ‘peace’ in Spanish and he definitely delivers —along with lots of happy moments. If you have any questions about Paz, contact his Adoption Coordinator at lauren.etobicokehumanesociety@gmail.com

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Paz, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
