QUICK FACTS Name: Kosoon Age: About 3.5 Years Old (Born in July 2022) Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo Mix Color: White Weight: 17kg / 37lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed MY RESCUE STORY I was just a little puppy when someone found me. I was curled up alone in a parking lot still wearing a leash, as if I had been waiting for someone who never came back. I didn’t understand what was happening, but I remember feeling small, quiet, and hoping someone would notice me. And someone did. Since then, I’ve been learning that not everyone leaves— that there are people who stay, who care, and who love for a lifetime. I still have that soft, gentle heart. I just need someone to hold onto it. MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Kosoon, a loyal, thoughtful Jindo with a quiet strength and a soft spot for the right person. I may not give my heart away instantly, but when I do, it’s deep, steady, and truly special. I’m incredibly loyal, smart, and deeply connected. If you understand independent, sensitive dogs and are willing to give me the time I need to trust, I promise, I’m worth it. MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: When I meet someone new, I can be cautious at first. I like to take my time and understand who you are. Give me some time and you’ll start to see me soften, come closer, and trust you. I tend to feel more comfortable with women, and men can feel a bit scary to me at first. But with patience and kindness, I can learn they’re safe too. I haven’t had the chance to meet children under 13 yet, so I may need slow, gentle introductions. Being picked up isn’t my favorite thing, so I’d really appreciate someone who respects my space and lets me move at my own pace. But once I feel safe with you, you’ll see me roll over and show you my belly — my quiet way of saying, “I trust you now.” · With Dogs: I’ll walk up and say hello, but I’m not always looking to play — I prefer a more relaxed, easygoing interaction. I feel most comfortable with dogs around my size, and I can get a bit overwhelmed by dogs with very high energy. If another dog comes on too strong or tries to provoke me, I might react — so I really appreciate slow, thoughtful introductions. I’m a gentle dog who enjoys peaceful company, and with the right guidance, I can build calm and positive friendships. · With Cats: If I see a cat, I can get very excited and might try to chase it — I don’t mean any harm. I just can’t help the thrill of the moment. Because of that, I’ll need someone who can guide me calmly and keep me safe, helping me stay focused and learn that not everything needs chasing. With patience and teamwork, I’ll get better every day. ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I love going out for walks and exploring, and once we’re back home, I’m happy to rest calmly by your side. On walks, I can get a little excited and pull sometimes, but I do like to follow my person and stay connected. And if I suddenly pause, it’s probably because I’ve found something interesting to sniff. I tend to go at my own pace — stop and go, stop and go — just taking in the world one scent at a time. With a bit of guidance, we’ll find our rhythm together and I’ll be your gentle little companion who makes every walk feel special. TRAINING & HABITS When it comes to food, I’m very comfortable with people — you don’t have to worry about me guarding anything. But if another dog comes too close while I’m eating, I might give a small growl. I just like having my space during meals. If I see someone new, I might bark at first — just my way of saying, “Who’s that?” In my kennel, I stay calm and relaxed, and I’m comfortable resting in my own space. I usually prefer doing my business outside, so I’d love a routine filled with walks and fresh air. MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever SPECIAL NOTES I tend to feel more comfortable with women, and men can feel a bit scary to me at first. But with patience and kindness, I can learn they’re safe too. I would thrive with a patient, experienced adopter who understands dogs like me — especially Jindo traits.
