My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Miru Age: Born September 27th 2025 (Around 6 months old) Gender: Female (Spaying to be scheduled)  Breed: Mini Jindo mix Color: Black Weight: 6.5kg / 14lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY My brave mama spent her days wandering the streets, doing everything she could to survive on her own. When it was finally time, she found a small sense of safety at a factory site, where she brought six of us into the world—including me. It wasn’t an easy place to grow up, but the kind workers there did their best to look out for us, making sure we had food and a bit of protection whenever they could. Even so, it wasn’t the right environment for tiny puppies like us, and with so many little ones, we needed more care than they could provide. That’s when our story took a hopeful turn. Rescuers heard about us and stepped in with open hearts, bringing our whole little family to safety and giving us a second chance at life. Now, we’re safe, growing stronger every day, and ready for the happiest chapter yet—finding our forever families who will love us as much as we’ll love them.   MY HEALTH Spaying to be scheduled soon. Healthy with no known health issues All vaccinations up-to-date   MY PERSONALITY I’m even cuter in real life—with my soft black fur and sweet expressions, I tend to win hearts pretty quickly! I’m a smart little girl who truly enjoys being around people. Even though I’m still young and haven’t had much exposure to the world yet, I’ve been adjusting quickly and stay very gentle when being handled. I’ve already done so well with so many new experiences—baths, blow drying, even wearing raincoats (things I’d never tried before!), and I take it all like a champ. I learned how to use a potty pad in just one day, ride calmly in the car, and rest quietly in my kennel. With my eagerness to learn and loving nature, I’m ready to keep growing into the perfect companion for my future family.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With PeopleI can be a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly—especially if you have treats and gentle pets to share! It doesn’t take me long to show my sweet and affectionate side, and I’m comfortable being picked up too. During my profile photoshoot, I was happily following people around, asking for pets and treats—I just love being close to my humans! · With Dogs: I enjoy greeting new dog friends, but I like to take things slow and don’t jump straight into play right away. I can feel a bit overwhelmed around very high-energy dogs, so I do best with calm, respectful companions who match my pace and help me feel comfortable. · With Cats: I spent a few days with a temporary foster family that had a cat. I was curious and went up to say hello, but when the cat let me know it needed space, I respected that and kept my distance. I’m a thoughtful girl who can learn boundaries quickly with the right guidance   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level—I enjoy spending time outdoors exploring and taking in my surroundings, but I’m just as happy to come inside and snuggle up once I’ve had my fun. I have a nice balance of playful and calm, making me an easy companion for both adventures and cozy downtime.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m still learning my leash manners, but I’m making steady progress every day. Sometimes I can feel a bit unsure on walks and may pause or flatten myself to the ground, but with patience and gentle guidance, I’m slowly building my confidence and learning that the world isn’t so scary. I have good manners around people and don’t guard my food, though I can be a little sensitive if other dogs are nearby during mealtimes. I’m a quiet girl who rarely barks, and I settle nicely in my kennel when it’s time to rest. I’m also doing well with my potty routine—I can use both indoor pee pads and go outside. With a consistent routine and a bit of encouragement, I’ll continue to grow into a calm, confident, and well-mannered companion.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Understanding I’m still a young pup and will need continued socialization and basic obedience training   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a gentle, affectionate, and people-oriented girl who loves forming strong bonds with my humans. I’m a quick learner and adapt well to new environments and routines, especially when I’m given patient guidance and positive reinforcement. I might be a little shy at first, but I’m building my confidence more every day and have already learned how to respect boundaries with both dogs and cats. I do best with calm, respectful dog friends and thoughtful introductions. I have a nice balance of playful curiosity when I’m outdoors and a calm, cuddly side when I’m inside. With the right home that can give me both structure and lots of love, I know I’ll blossom into a loyal and deeply loving companion.   MIRU'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2698694##
