My story

Duncan is a handsome 90lb American Bulldog mix who has nothing but love to give!  Friendly, sweet and affectionate, he truly believes everyone is his best friend.  Through no fault of his own, Duncan has already lost two homes.  He was adopted as a puppy by grandchildren for their grieving grandfather, who passed away a few months after, and then a kind neighbour took him in, but also became ill.  Despite all of this upheaval, this resilient boy remains his cheerful loving self.   Duncan has a whole lot going for him!  He’s easygoing and great with kids.  He enjoys other dogs and gets along with cats. He loves car rides, is crate trained, and is learning to walk with a leash.  That being said, he is a big strong puppy who missed out on early training due to circumstances, and he needs a committed adopter who will help him become his best self.   Duncan did have an enlarged prostate when he came into care, but it has been treated and resolved.  He has been neutered, is current on vaccines, and is being fostered by the vet who treated his prostate.  Housetraining is going well and continued crate training is essential as Duncan will chew on things he shouldn’t if left to his own devices.   At his core, Duncan is a loving and gentle soul who needs stability and a fresh start.  He would love a fenced in yard so he can sniff and explore.  He would also love to find his dedicated someone who is willing to invest time into his training and finally give him the forever home he deserves.  April 19, 2026, 8:45 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Duncan, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
