Malo

My story

Malo is a charming young tri-colour Chihuahua at just over 1 year old. He originally came to Precious Paws as an owner surrender from northern Ontario and sadly, was recently returned from his adoptive home due to the adopter's allergies. Malo was of course welcomed back into our care and he remembered his foster family instantly, wagging his tail with excitement, and he quickly settled back into his cozy routine. Malo is friendly, curious, and playful. He gets along well with both men and women, though can guard his favourite person. An experienced, adult-only, home would be best suited for Malo as he also doesn't like to be startled out of his sleep! Malo has shown himself to be housetrained and crate trained and he walks nicely on leash too.At night, Malo happily tucks himself into his crate (as long as a soft blanket is involved) and sleeps quietly through the night and he knows a few commandsdown,come, andstop. Malo enjoys a good walk but prefers sunshine to rain or snow (a proper gentleman there), and he loves curling up under a cozy blanket or, even better, in someones lap afterward. This smart, athletic pup would shine in an active home that enjoys playtime, outdoor walks, or even agility training. He gets along with most dogs, though like many small breeds, he can be selective about his canine friends. With the guarding he can display for "his" person, life as the only dog may be best for him depending on the home. Malo is a loving, loyal companion whos ready to bring warmth, fun, and a dash of spunk to a patient and consistent adopter.If youre interested in making Malo a permanent member of your family, please fill out an adoption application today!   Our adoption fees cover all up to date veterinary needs, including but not limited to: full veterinary examination, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test and parasite prevention, wellness bloodwork, spay or neuter, and microchip. All dogs will be started on a 6 week trial of pet insurance after adoption.
