QUICK FACTS Name: Cory Age: May 15, 2024 (About 2 Years Old) Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Shiba – Jindo Mix Color: White Weight: 10kg / 22lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was born in a factory area, to a stray mom who was doing her best to keep me safe. Life started out uncertain, but I was rescued from the city shelter and given a chance to begin again. I may have come from a tough place, but I’m growing up with a hopeful heart, ready to learn what love and family feel like. Now, I am ready to start a new chapter of my life with my forever family.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Cory—a curious little explorer with a bright, playful spirit! If I hear something new or interesting, you’ll probably see me hopping up to check it out. I just have to know what’s going on! The world is full of exciting things, and I don’t want to miss any of it. I’m a smart cookie and love to play, especially with my toys. When I’m comfortable, my fun, bouncy personality really shines through—I can be quite the silly, energetic pup! If you’re patient and willing to go slow with me, I’ll reward you with trust, affection, and lots of playful moments. I just need someone to help me feel safe enough to be my happiest self.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy at first, but if you offer me a treat, I’ll happily come closer and take it. I just need a bit more time before I feel ready for pets—but once I do, I open up in my own sweet way. You can gently pick me up by supporting me under my belly and sometimes, even early on, I’ll roll over and show my belly. It’s my quiet way of saying I trust you.  I haven’t had the chance to meet children under 13 yet, so I may need a calm and thoughtful introduction. · With Dogs: I love making new dog friends—I’ll happily go up to say hello and invite them to play, even if we’ve just met. I feel especially comfortable around dogs that are around my size, and I usually get along really well with them. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate to high energy level – I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, and I feel my best when I’ve had plenty of exercise. Once I’ve burned off my energy, I’m able to settle down and relax nicely. I walk really well in quiet, peaceful areas, but busy roads with lots of cars can feel a little scary for me, so I appreciate a calm and steady environment where I can feel safe.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m very easygoing when it comes to food—I don’t feel the need to guard it, whether I’m around people or other dogs. I’m a quiet companion and don’t bark much. When I’m in my kennel, I settle in calmly and rest without any trouble. I usually prefer doing my business outside, so I’m most comfortable with outdoor potty routines.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES New people and unfamiliar places can make me a bit nervous at first. I need a little time to feel safe and understand my surroundings. But once I start to trust you, you’ll see a whole different side of me—I’ll let you pick me up, roll over to show you my belly, and happily soak up your love.
